As part of the Year of Cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China in Science, Technology, and Innovation, a joint meeting of research groups from P.M. Masherov VSU and Guizhou Normal University was held via videoconference on May 21.

From May 19 to 21 in St. Petersburg, the Rector of P.M. Masherov VSU, Valentina Bogatyreva, is taking part in the XIII St. Petersburg International Legal Forum – a key platform for discussing global legal trends and strengthening international cooperation.

On May 19, a delegation from P.M. Masherov VSU, consisting of Rector Valentina Bogatyreva and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Miroslava Bobrik, met with the leadership of Pskov State University (PskovSU) to discuss prospects for international cooperation.

From May 13 to 17, students from the Faculty of Humanities, Knowledge and Communications and the Faculty of Mathematics and Information Technologies at P.M. Masherov VSU took part in the III Russian-Belarusian Student Media Forum "Media Industry" at the premises of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Pskov State University" (Pskov, Russian Federation).

On May 16, P.M. Masherov VSU is hosting the International Scientific Conference "Regional Onomastics: Problems and Research Prospects." Approximately 70 scientists from Belarus and Russia are participating in person and remotely, including early-career researchers – students and master's degree candidates.

In 2024, Belarus became a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). The corresponding decision was signed on July 4 during the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO member states in Astana.

The results of the International Video Essay Competition on War Literature "Read! Watch! Remember!" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory have been summarized. The competition ran from March 3 to May 1 as part of the cooperation between universities of the "Russian-Belarusian University Union 'Together'" Consortium.

On May 5, the International Alley of the 80th Anniversary of the Great Victory was created in the Botanical Garden of P.M. Masherov VSU. The establishment of the alley was initiated by the university together with the Vitebsk Regional Branch of the Belarusian Party "Belaya Rus" ("White Rus'"), with the support of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

On April 29, students and staff of P.M. Masherov VSU participated in the international car rally "Along the Roads of War – Along the Roads of Victory," dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory.

On April 24, as part of the Plan of Bilateral Cooperation Measures between the city of Arkhangelsk, Russian Federation, and the city of Vitebsk, Republic of Belarus, for 2025, a children's delegation from MBEI "Secondary School No. 14 with In-Depth Study of Individual Subjects named after Ya.I. Leitzinger" of Arkhangelsk, Arkhangelsk Region, visited the educational institution "Petr Masherov Vitebsk State University."
