On November 22, within the framework of cooperation in the field of educational, scientific and socio-cultural activities of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov with State Higher Education Institution of the Moscow Region State University of Social Sciences and Humanities, an international scientific and practical round table "Professional training of music teachers in higher education: theory and practice" was held in online format.

The Dean of the Pedagogical Faculty of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor I.A. Sharapova and the Dean of the Philological Faculty of State University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor T.A. Kapyrina addressed the participants of the round table with a welcoming speech.

Reports were presented on the following topics:

The Department of Music of the Pedagogical Faculty of VSU:

• Reflexive awareness of the results of musical and pedagogical design in the process of preparing a music teacher (Associate Professor of the Department of Music, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Y.S. Sused-Vilichinskaya);
• Features of vocal and choral work with students-citizens of the People's Republic of China (senior lecturer of the Department of Music T.V. Orup);
• Development and realization of the creative potential of children and youth of the Vitebsk region (senior lecturer of the Department of Music, graduate student E.V. Korytko);
• A poly-artistic approach to the implementation of pedagogical technology of cooperation in the organization of a creative workshop (senior lecturer of the Department of Music, graduate student O.Yu. Venzhega).

Department of Music and Fine Arts of the Philological Faculty of State University of Social Sciences and Humanities:

• Forms of interaction between music students and educational institutions (senior lecturer of the Department of Music and Fine Arts M.V. Bragina)
• Musical and local history work as a component of the updated Federal State Educational Standards of Russian Education (Professor, Doctor of Cultural Studies, Head of the Department of Music and Fine Arts E.V. Shcherbakova)

On November 23, within the framework of the “Open Lecture Hall” project of the Russian Society "Knowledge", a lecture "M.I. Glinka - the founder of Russian classical music" by Professor, Doctor of Cultural Studies, head of the Department of Music and Fine Arts Elena Valeryevna Shcherbakova was held for students of the pedagogical Faculty (specialty "Musical Education", "Musical art, rhythmics and Choreography", "Preschool education") in online format.
