On October 23, within the framework of expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan educational institutions, a Forum of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Uzbekistan was held at the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics.

As part of the Forum, Valentina Bogatyrëva, the Rector of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, signed an agreement on academic exchange with Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.
