From August 4th to August 14th, Belarus is hosting the II CIS Games. As volunteers on the sports grounds in Vitebsk, students from VSU named after P.M. Masherov are actively involved. There are 24 students from the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports and the Faculty of Law.
Their responsibilities as part of the volunteer group include welcoming international delegations, assisting with accommodation, and escorting them to the competition venues. These tasks are carried out round the clock. Their duties also involve escorting athletes to their accommodation, assisting during and after matches, in warm-up and training areas. Additionally, they serve as guides when foreign guests need orientation in the city.
In spring, students underwent training, with the main requirements being proficiency in a foreign language, communication skills, and an interest in sports. For the volunteers, this experience provides not only an opportunity to get closer to the culture of other countries but also a chance to be part of the multisport event.
