On November 8 the 12th Belarusian expedition went to Antarctica.
The head of the expedition is Alexey Gaidashov – a deputy head of the Republican Center for Polar Research NAS.
The expeditionary team included 8 people. Among them was Nikita Iziderov – a 2018 graduate of the Chair of Geography of the Faculty of Biology, majoring in 1-31 02 01 Geography (in the photo, the third person from the left).
Location of the Belarusian seasonal polar station is Mount Vechernaya – East Antarctica, Enderby Land, the Cosmonauts sea coast, mount Vechernaya.
Nikita Siderov passed hard selection process and was included into the expeditionary team as a hydrometeorologist. Also he will serve as a cook. The experience and practical skills acquired during training in physical and geographical disciplines helped our student to win. Nikita participated in sport activities, led a climbing club, was keen on tourism and local history.
