First Vice-Rector of Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov Andrey Pavlovich Mekhovich paid an official visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan. The purpose of the visit was to participate in the Second Uzbekistan-Belarus Educational Forum, which was held in Fergana, and to visit the country's educational and scientific institutions to expand Vitebsk State University's international cooperation.

A plenary session of the Second Educational Forum, «Innovative Cooperation: Uzbekistan-Belarus Forum on Higher and Professional Education», was held at Fergana State University. At the «Cooperation in Higher Education» section, Andrei Pavlovich presented a paper entitled «The Educational, Scientific, and Innovative Potential of Masherov VSU in the Context of International Cooperation».

During his visit to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Andrei Mekhovich signed a number of cooperation agreements with:

• Fergana State University;
• Bukhara State University;
• Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov;
• Nukus State Technical University;
• Andijan State Pedagogical Institute.

The signed agreements cover a broad range of topics, including personnel retraining, internships, the implementation of joint educational programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and scientific research aimed at developing innovation and improving the qualifications of specialists.

Andrei Pavlovich visited Andijan State University, where an agreement on the implementation of a joint program for training specialists in preschool education was signed. The First Vice-Rector of VSU also toured the university's infrastructure and facilities.

During the Forum, an auditorium named after the renowned Belarusian poet and public figure Yakub Kolas was officially opened, and tree saplings were planted. This ceremony became a shining symbol of the strong friendship and long-standing cooperation between the two countries and a symbol of achieving new heights in the future.

To enhance the professional skills and develop the knowledge and practical skills of drone operators in the field of modern technologies, the «Drone Racing» competition was organized, and scientists, researchers, and inventors from higher and vocational educational institutions presented an exhibition of cutting-edge developments and innovative products.
