On June 23, an exhibition of creative works by children with autism from Wenzhou City (People's Republic of China), titled "See how I see," opened in the lobby of the P.M. Masherov VSU library. The works that make up the exhibition's exposition (more than 40) belong to students of the "Painting for dreams – caring for children with autism" charity program at Pan Liuming's art studio in China. They demonstrate a unique vision of reality, a perception of beauty, and how children with developmental differences find positive emotions in artistic creation.

The children's works may not possess strict technique, but they are filled with sincere emotions and creative imagination. Every color is their way of communicating with the world, and every painting is a projection of their inner universe.

One of the supervisors of the exhibition is Zhou Mei, a master's degree student at the P.M. Masherov VSU Faculty of Arts and Graphics, specializing in "Art and aesthetic education." It was she who collected the works of the Chinese children and brought them for the exhibition. Zhou Mei also gave a significant gift to the Faculty: she presented several meaningful paintings from those delivered to Vitebsk (the works were created by children aged 8) as a memento.

According to Elena Sokolova, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Graphics, this is only the first stage of organizing such exhibitions. In the near future, a presentation of works by both Chinese and Belarusian children with developmental differences is planned, as it is an opportunity to show that there are diverse people in our world, and art is capable of reflecting everyone's potential.
