On 12 July, the conference hall of the All-Union State University hosted a round table with the participation of State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev as part of the XXXIII International Festival ‘Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk’. The declared theme ‘Strengthening the cultural and spiritual traditions of Belarus and Russia’ was discussed thoroughly and in a multi-vector manner, as this year marks the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State. A lot of successes have been achieved during this period, and there are still a lot of promising goals and plans in the piggy bank.

From year to year the participants of the round table note the high level of organisation of the event and thank the University for cooperation. In addition, the VSU administration and especially the students are serious allies in supporting and implementing joint projects, as the Union State policy in the field of culture contributes in every possible way to the preservation of common heritage and traditions, strengthening of cultural contacts and consolidation of peoples.
